It is the goal of NBYLAX to provide children the opportunity to learn and play the game of lacrosse. We will make every effort to assist families who need financial assistance through funds set aside by the NBYLAX Board and companies offering equipment and sponsorship to players who qualify. Partial Registration Financial assistance is available to those who request it and qualify under the guidelines set forth in the NBYLAX Bylaws. The Board of Directors will meet in a closed session to discuss any financial assistance requests and privacy of the family will always be a priority.
All requests for assistance are to be considered for the upcoming season and are handled on a year to year basis. Requests must be made prior to registering.
Criteria for financial aid are the same as that for the North Branford Public Schools Free Lunch Program. The guideline used by the Board is the Connecticut State Department of Education Income Guidelines for Determining Eligibility of Free and Reduced meals (Form 7CFR Part 245.3(a)). This guideline is used to determine who qualifies for financial assistance.
If you provided this information to your child's school earlier this year, you need only to provide a copy of that document to the Board.
If you did not apply or qualify for that assistance, you may write a letter to the Board explaining your situation. If you are aware of any other family in need of Financial Assistance, please bring it to the attention of the Board via written letter or e-mail.
Requests for financial assistance, accompanied by either a copy of the Form or a letter explaining your situation should be e-mailed to the NBYLAX President: email@example.com
